What a second-hand outfit. Haha. I described this to my gal pals as my 90's grunge outfit. Minus the tee-shirt. I bought it years ago thinking it was a Beatles shirt. I finally read the front and have no idea what it means. If anyone has a clue- please share!
Went to a BBQ with some friends, ended up at Denny's. Here are a few shots from my night.
Check out the pitbull pup. I was about to swoop her up and just carry her home. She is the most precious dog I have ever met (really I say that about all the pups I meet)!!
The girl with the long hair let me buy the patriotic high-tops from her. I am obsessed!
Sorry about the lousy pictures, I need to train a photographer to become part of our entourage :D

I don't think I've ever mentioned that I'm a big Harry Potter fan. On my days off, I'll lay in bed and watch every movie starting with the Sorcerer's Stone and won't stop until I've watched them all over again. Sometimes I'll even let the same movie loop over and over again as I online shop or do my nails, busy work, ect.
So my date to see the new Harry Potter movie was my mom. Either all of my friends had already seen or or didn't want to see it at all (I know, they are crazy). Anyway- the movie was so great, I want to see it again. I am such a sucker for Harry Potter and I am easily satisfied so of course I loved it. I'm not going to ruin it for any of you, but you really should read the books first- the movies are good, the books are GREAT! Reserve a three-day weekend to plow through one at a time, you won't regret it.
And Emma Watson is so beautiful and chic! Obsessed.
After the movie- my mom and I went to the cafe in the background of my photo for a grilled chicken sandwich and a peach smoothie- delic!
I like the way the flats make my feet look big, I know some of you might not like it, but I'm feeling it. The long sleeve is so three years ago but it will never expire for me, too cute. I didn't get a good shot of the satchel- it's great! I promise to post it up here, I got it for $4 at a thrift store, good find.
That's all for now, I've got two more weeks of summer school and then two weeks of freedom before fall semester. I'm hoping to get to Santa Cruz, Six Flags and maybe a trip to San Diego or Arizona before I get back to school- cross your fingers :)

Another day taking care of the cats.
This house in San Francisco is magical. We discover something new about it each time we visit. This time we found an empty apartment on the top level with roof access- voila! I still can't over this beautiful weather- a tanktop above the trees in SF! Amazing.

After this, my friends and I took a trip to Berkley to see Paul Baribeau play at Gilman. It was a fun show with two one-girl-bands playing prior to Baribeau. The first girl was Try the Pie. Her voice sounded a lot of like Laura Veirs. Loved her, she was so beautiful and sweet, I wish I had took a photo or video, but I was captured by her sound. The second girl was The Boy Who Could Fly was so adorable and from Ohio. She told short stories between songs, it must be interesting living in Ohio with all the squirrels.

And here is Paul Baribeau performing "Christmas Lights." I recorded this for anyone who could not go.
Sorry it's sideways, I always forget that I can't rotate videos- duh.

PS- Don't forget to feed my new fishes :D

Short shorts forever

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
forever 21 top, american apparel high waisted shorts, thrifted belt, thrifted shoes

It was soo hot this week, I had to cool off in my new favorite shorts. I would wear these every day for the rest of my life if I could.
Went with a friend to take care of some woman's cats while she is away. Her house is beauuuutiful in Pacific Heights. We felt the essence of high-class city living for the hour or so we took care of the cats.

Kind of funny and messed up at the same time..
The city was 80 degrees- can you believe that? Makes me wonder if I would like living in Los Angeles.

Strapless can have sleeves

Thrifted rose lace tube dress, target purple crew neck tee-shirt, target black glossy flats

I was so excited to wear this dress- I thrifted it forever ago, but the length was originally to my shins. So I altered it (yeah it's kind of a botch-job) and ta-daaa! I'm not a big fan of tube dresses. With my figure, I'm uncomfortable wearing strapless anything, so I put a tee shirt under and it was a lot more easy to wear.
I don't know where the pink and purple combo came from, it just... felt right. I also put a heather grey cardigan over it, for a summer day- today was cold!

I'd like to thank my friend Ramy for his guidance and views contributing to this post :)

new hair

I have been trying to grow my hair out, but when I went to a new stylist- I told her to cut it however she thinks would look best.
She did tons and tons and tons of layers. The underneath layer is a V shape and the top layer of hair is an A. It's kind of mullety in the back, but I think that works fine.
Still waiting to make a decision about the color. I definitely want to get back to my more natural blonde- I'm pretty content now that all those nasty ends are cut off.
If you live in the Bay Area and are looking for an edgy, adorable hair stylist (in her 20's but with plenty of experience) for a reasonable price- leave me a comment and I can hook that up. My friend suggested her and I'm so excited to go back, she was so down to earth.

Here are some before photos:

And here is the new haircut:

I know, I know.. there are a ton of photos posted above, but I don't know, I miss you guys and I feel terrible for not posting more often. How is everything? What do you want to see on my posts? I've got another NON-American Apparel outfit post soon!

Sort of patriotic

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Target skinny jeans, Wet Seal frilly sandals, Hanes white tee, thrifted long sleeve button up

I wore this a few days ago (not the fourth) and realized now that it has some patriotic potential. Farmer girl shirt, basic tee shirt, and shoes celebrating the native people of this land. Haha I guess I'm sort of stretching the idea but it could work. And look, red white and blue.
Everyone in my area headed to Lake Tahoe for the holiday extravaganzas. One year I must go, I miss out on all the fun holiday trips.. I'm working all day for the Fourth, it's kind of a bummer- but I get paid extra so no worries.
This picture was taken outside of my friend's new place in SF. We bummed craiglist for a free mattress (found a really nice one) and brought some furniture for his new place. It was a fun and physically straining day. I love days off :D

Enjoy the holiday!

Alien at American Apparel :
black/white geometric tee shirt
black high wasited zipper shorts

My last week of working in this block of full-time is upon me! I promise- REAL clothes will be coming soon. All this working is giving me some serious shopping money and I can't wait to share all my purchases soon!
By the way, I went crazy over the Victoria Secret's sale. I bought $150 worth of stuff! Two bikinis, bras, panties, fragrance- I'm so stoked! I keep checking the mail every day. Soon enough my bikinis will come and I will have the time to wear them.
I promise the only think I have been doing is class and work. My astronomy class is at 8am! So my hair has looked like poop for the past few weeks. I'm going to get it done next week and here are hair color ideas I snatched from my favorite ladies of Wildfox:

I am thinking ashy blonde again, with lighter blond at my ends. I could do the second part on my own- I'm sure. And I really want to work on having more of a side-part- like a comb-over.
I'm desperate for some chic!
