Blubbering employee

So I guess it's obvious now from these pictures- I'm working at American Apparel. Of course I need to be dripping AA hipster style head to toe- so the first clothing i acquire are the basic leggings and deep v tee. The one shiny pair of leggings I got are the asphalt- later (after taking these pictures) I realized they resemble blubber. I think I would make a cute harbor seal.
Sorry about the frowns, I was not having the best of week.

I am such a nerd! I posed for this top picture because my newspaper is attending a journalism conference in the capitol this weekend and all the editors attending are supposed to send in a photo for some slideshow- here's mine. I'm so excited to go and learn tons more about newspaper writing, managing a staff, organizing a paper, ect. Hopefully I will meet and network with people interesting in magazine and fashion writing!
The bottom photo is just some awkward pose that I set up in my mom's bathroom- sorry, the sun had already set so I couldn't provide a beautiful outside shot like the ones before.
I'm so sorry I haven't updated sooner, the newspaper has taken over my life- seriously. It's a great responsibility that will hopefully come with even better benefits, even PAST the learning experience.
I will be heading to Arizona for my spring break in a few weeks- can't wait to break out the shorts & bikini! I have some intense ab work outs to do before then.
I have been wanting to post cute outfits from the street- but I always forget to carry my camera everywhere and maybe a business card so featured fashionistas have a reference to where they will be posted. So look out for some of that in the future- it should be easy to do over summer when I finally have my OWN TIME! :)
Now back to Dancing with the Stars- I'm addicted!!

City by the bay

More about that in between winter and spring stuff. It's so cold some days, other days I wish I were wearing shorts (kind of). A month from now I will be visiting my friends in Arizona and bearing my winter legs, better there than here.
My boyfriend is my apparent new photographer. The first photo was taken at Ocean Beach in SF. It was beautiful outside and terribly romantic. The second is a picture of me posing at Twin Peaks. He wanted to show me where he had biked and when we DROVE to the top I was quite proud of him. It was lovely, you could see all the way across the bay to Oakland and even Marin I believe. I'm a weak geography student.

I know, I know, this is not a reaction to culture, fashion OR the arts. Tell me if I'm getting too personal for you. But this day was too beautiful not to share. San Francisco is really one of the most amazing cities in the world. I may not be experienced enough to make that judgement, sorry. But I have lived here my whole life and I am continuing to discover new corners of the city. You all MUST visit!
Anyway, about my outfit. I just love the mustard/faded red color combination, don't you? :D

It's that weird in-between-winter-spring time and it's hard to stay warm but not look so winter-gloomy at the same time. I need to work out breaking out of monochromatic outfits. It's spring!- time for color!

Blow me over

This outfit is not anything special, but the wind was crazy that day!!
I wish girls at my school would realize that you can be grungy and warm without wearing sweatpants, hoodies and uggs.
